Concrete Manager

We are looking for a Concrete Project Manager who brings a passion for both Heavy Civil and Structural Concrete construction. The ideal candidate will devote their leadership and skills to oversee and deliver each project from conception to the finished structure.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing projects in their entirety, including estimating, permitting, subcontracts, procurement, scheduling, project management, and closeout. A willingness to learn estimating, quantities, productivity rates, and scheduling is necessary.
  • Working with clients, engineers, architects, and other contractors in a team-first approach.
  • Approaching the processing and tracking of RFIs, submittals, and procurement proactively.
  • Posting changes (addendums and RFIs) to the drawings and maintaining as-built documents.
  • Leading and assisting with project close-out as needed.
  • Understanding, and executing on, the steps of gathering, creating, and processing change orders,
  • Attending weekly project meetings and maintaining/distributing those meeting minutes.
  • Participating in client/contractor meetings and resolution of project challenges.
  • Assisting in setup and maintenance of project files.
  • Assisting in issuance of project communication with the design team.
  • Assisting in project scheduling to aid procurement process.
  • Assisting with subcontract documentation from issuance to fully executed agreements.
  • Accessing and working with project management and job forecasting software.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

You will be successful, if:

  • You possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

You have a minimum of five years in managing heavy civil concrete/structural concrete commercial and public works projects.

  • You are able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and structural drawings and details.
  • You are skilled in estimating and quantity takeoffs.
  • You have a strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  • You possess enhanced computer skills including, MS Office, Outlook, Bluebeam, scheduling software, and PM/job costing/forecasting software.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to work in a high-demand, fast paced environment.
  • You are able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • You’re a self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including listening and speaking.
