Estimator/Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced Estimator/Project Manager who brings a detailed approach to estimating. The successful candidate will have knowledge of bidding structural projects with an emphasis on structural concrete, rough carpentry, and seismic renovations. Additionally, this individual will have knowledge in the scheduling and coordination of budgeting, forecasting, and managing construction projects from pre-construction through close-out.

You will be responsible for:

  • Using multiple avenues to seek bid and business development opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with new and current subcontractors and vendors.
  • Developing a thorough understanding of project scope and constructability.
  • Providing accurate quantity takeoffs for projects.
  • Performing estimates and revisions with accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintaining resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.
  • Using project management processes, both day-to-day and long-term. This will include change orders, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, billings, projections, and labor reports.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

You will be successful, if:

  • You possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years estimating commercial and public works projects.
  • You have experience in rough carpentry estimation, seismic renovation, and/or related fields.
  • You are able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and structural drawings and details.
  • You are skilled in estimating and quantity takeoffs.
  • You have a strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to work in a high-demand, fast paced environment.
  • You are able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • You’re a self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including listening and speaking.
